President of Lithuania Gitanas Nausėda paid an official visit to Estonia and met with President Kersti Kaljulaid on August 20.
Both heads of state discussed bilateral political and economic relations, strengthening of the Baltic trilateral cooperation, regional security issues, NATO and EU agenda. President Nauseda had also a meeting with Prime Minister Jüri Ratas, Chairman of the Riigikogu Henn Põlluaas and representatives of the Lithuanian community in Estonia. During the visit President Nauseda layed a wreath to Memorial of the Victims of Communism in Maarjamäe.
On the occasion of the Day of the Restoration of the Independence of Estonia he gave a speech at the traditional Rose Garden reception at Kadriorg Palace hosted by President Kaljulaid.
